Los Angeles
These are very few recommendations to all L.A. has to offer, I have only been here 2 days, but I found one of my all time favorite pasta restaurants, and you can find here one of my fav fast-food hamburger joint.
UOVO
Is is a very small restaurant that the only thing they serve is: PASTA, yes, the best fresh pasta made in Bologna that they import for the customers pleasure. It is definitely one of my favorite restaurants because the pasta is fresh and the options are great. Bae and I are so in love with this place that we order 3 pastas to share, and yes, we devour them. My favorites are: the artichoke ravioli, tortellini in brodo and the lasagna verde. If you are in Santa Monica and looking for an amazing meal, this is the place to try.
208 Rodeo
This restaurant is in the heart of Rodeo Drive, perfect for a lunch pause between shopping. It is a bit pricey, but well worth it for a great spot, great cocktails and good food. We had a small table on the outside of the restaurant, I ordered a lychee cocktail and BAE a single malt scotch; for lunch we shared a pretty massive lobster tail that was part of the specials of the day.
Daikokuya
I am in love with ramen, so I was craving a good bowl while in L.A., so I did some research and found a great ramen place very close to our hotel. As any traditional ramen place, no reservations, only walk-ins, but it is definitely worth the wait. We ordered the pan fried gyozas, which are pan fried to perfection, with that crispy crust goodness, and for the ramen I ordered the Daikoku ramen, kotteri flavor, which means that is has that extra fat that gives it so much more flavor, and yes, I am that kind of person.
Shake Shack
Any city that has a shake shack, I am there. It is one of my favorite fast-food hamburger places, my go to always is the shack stack protein style, which has a beef patty and a fried portobello with cheese, no bun. No burger meal is complete without a side of fries and if I am feeling glutinous (which is always) a cookies and cream milkshake.
